Tiramisu Blondies

If you're a tiramisu lover, you're going to fall in love with these tiramisu blondies!

They combine the rich flavors of a classic tiramisu with the ease of a chewy blondie bar. Featuring a vanilla bean cookie base, a luscious chocolate ganache center, and a creamy espresso mascarpone filling, these bars are the perfect indulgence for coffee and dessert lovers alike. Plus, they’re incredibly easy to make!

Why Use Amoretti Natural Espresso Coffee Artisan Flavor?

Instead of traditional espresso powder, our Natural Espresso Coffee Artisan Flavor is a game-changer in these blondies. Its concentrated formula provides bold coffee flavor without the gritty texture espresso powder can leave behind. This smooth, rich flavor blends seamlessly into the mascarpone filling, enhancing the classic tiramisu taste without overpowering the dessert.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I make these ahead of time?
Absolutely! These tiramisu blondies are perfect for making ahead. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors develop even more overnight, making them ideal for planning ahead.

Do I have to use mascarpone cheese?
Mascarpone gives the filling its signature rich and creamy texture. If you need a substitute, cream cheese can be used in a pinch, but the flavor will be tangier and less authentic.

Can I freeze tiramisu blondies?
Yes! Freeze the assembled blondies (before dusting with cocoa powder) in an airtight container for up to one month. When ready to enjoy, thaw them in the refrigerator and finish with cocoa powder before serving.

How should I serve these tiramisu blondies?
For the best flavor, let them sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the ganache and mascarpone filling to soften slightly for a perfect melt-in-your-mouth experience.

What kind of cocoa powder should I use?
For the most authentic tiramisu flavor, use unsweetened cocoa powder. Dutch-processed cocoa will offer a smoother, more mellow taste, while natural cocoa powder will add a slightly sharper chocolate flavor.

These tiramisu blondies are the ultimate dessert mashup that's sure to impress your guests or satisfy your sweet tooth anytime!

Ingredients

Cookie Base:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp Amoretti® Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Ganache:
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
Mascarpone Filling:

Directions

Make the Cookie Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar, whisking until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in the baking powder, salt, and flour until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and set. Let it cool completely.
Prepare the Ganache
  1. Add the chopped chocolate to a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering (don’t let it boil).
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2-3 minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  4. Pour the ganache over the cooled cookie base and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set.
Make the Mascarpone Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the heavy cream, Amoretti® Vanilla Bean Paste, Amoretti Natural Espresso Coffee Artisan Flavor, and a pinch of salt. Beat until the mixture thickens and becomes light and fluffy.
  3. Spread the mascarpone filling over the chilled ganache layer.
  4. Finish with a dusting of cocoa powder for that classic tiramisu touch.
