Ingredients
- 10 tbsp. softened unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Amoretti® Vanilla Bean Paste
- 3 tbsp Amoretti® Natural Red Velvet Artisan Flavor
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 24 chocolate heart candies
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Vanilla Bean Paste, Natural Red Velvet Artisan, and egg, and beat until well combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Add in flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Scoop the dough into 1 tbsp. balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. This should yield 24 cookies.
- Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until starting to brown.
- Remove cookies from oven and press in heart candies. let cool for 3-5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
